Welcome to P4

We are looking forward to a fun and exciting new year.

As the new school year approaches, a mix of excitement and anxiety often fills the air for parents. This period marks a significant transition for both children and their families, moving from the relaxed pace of summer to the structured routine of school life.

Preparing for the School Year

One of the most important steps is to prepare both practically and emotionally for the school year. This involves several key areas:

  • establishing Routines Early: Begin adjusting your child’s sleep schedule and meal times before school starts to align with the school day. This gradual shift can significantly ease the transition and reduce morning stress. Consider creating a “stress-free morning routine” that includes time for breakfast and getting ready without rushing.
  • Healthy Habits: Focus on “healthy school lunch ideas for kids” and “healthy after-school snacks” to fuel their learning and energy. “Grab-and-go breakfast ideas” are also vital for busy mornings.
  • Open Communication: Talk to your child about what to expect on the first day. Address any anxieties they might have and reassure them.

Make the first day special with traditions like a “first day of school photo” or a special breakfast. Continue to celebrate academic successes and milestones throughout the year.

I am looking forward to getting to know the new P4 students and families. Please feel free to reach out to me anytime with questions or concerns. Karen@Lis.edu.hk.
